Beneath is the transcription of a dialogue which took place between Ambassador Edward M. Korry and the historian Joaquín Fermandois and Arturo Fontaine Talavera, Director of CEP, on the 16th and 21st of October, 1996 in the Centro de Estudios Públicos. The interview was related to the events and themes covered by Ambassador Korry in the conference which he gave at CEP on the 16th October, entitled: "The United States in Chile and Chile in the United States (1963-1975)", and which is also included in this edition of Estudios Públicos.
Here Ambassador Korry expands on some of the events, adding more information and examples. His replies, through the vividness of their language, take us back directly to the environment of Chilean politics at the end of the 1960s.
