Embedded in Chilean political history of the past decades, this article analyzes the most important combat structures of the Revolutionary Left Movement (MIR) as well as the most relevant actions they took from 1973 to 1983. The author looks in particular at the development of the "Central Force" in the Neltume battles and in some assassinations of prominent military men.
